Mobile World Congress 2015
The Mobile World Congress 2015 is currently on in Barcelona, running from 2nd March to 5th March. There are over 2000 exhibitors and it is estimated that around 86,000 people will visit the conference in the next few days.
There have been many big reveals so far from the world’s biggest mobile companies, and there are many more to come. While MWC is notable as an event that Apple never attends, there are plenty of other big players showing what they have on offer, including Samsung, Microsoft, Google and HTC.
This year’s MWC is very important as last year, for the first time, mobile use surpassed desktop use. We are nearing 2000 million mobile users worldwide, and many developing countries rely on mobiles as their only access to the internet. Mobile use is rising at an exponential rate, and will continue to rise to new heights in 2015.
