As it’s the first week back for most of you after (what I’m sure would have been) a heavy Christmas and New Year, we decided to, instead of drowning you with more words, to add a very interesting and well-spoken TED talk.

This 10 minute talk by Paul Kemp-Robertson, the Co-founder and Editorial Director of Contagious Communications, a multi-platform marketing resource, is all about the recently popular Bitcoins. Kemp-Robertson explains how we base our currencies on the notes and coins we use which are brought to us by banks and governments that we trust. He goes on to explain how Bitcoins are different – this is a private brand that is becoming more and more successful based on the same marketing strategy – trust.
