Ben Priest is Executive Creative Director and one of the founding partners of Adam&EveDDB – a prestigious London-based advertising agency. Adam&EveDDB are responsible for ads that include several John Lewis Christmas ads, and Halifax’s recent Hanna-Barbera based ads.

Priest is one of the four co-founders of Adam&EveDDB, along with David Golding, James Murphy and Jon Forsyth. At the time in 2008, the company was just Adam & Eve. The company as it stands was created in 2012 from the merger of DDB London and Adam & Eve. It is a communications company made up of advertising, design, social media and more.

The company was given the title of 2017 International Agency of the Year by Ad Age. This is due to their continuing prowess in television advertising.

Here are some examples of Adam&EveDDB ads:

  • Skittles being reinvented in black and white due to ‘giving up their rainbow’ to Pride. Skittles also used Adam&EveDDB to do its 2017 Super Bowl commercial
  • AA’s singing baby
  • Lloyds Bank’s ‘by your side’ ads featuring their iconic black horse, to celebrate 250 years of the company being ‘by your side’.
  • Halifax ads featuring Hanna-Barbera Characters such as Scooby Doo and the Flintstones, as well as recent ads featuring the Thunderbirds
  • Android’s ‘be together not the same’
  • Foster’s duo of stereotypical Aussies
  • John Lewis Christmas ads – including last year’s “Buster the Boxer” which gained 137 million views in the first week. They were also responsible for ‘Man on the Moon’, Monty the penguin and ‘The Bear and the Hare’
  • John Lewis Insurance’s Tiny dancer
  • Marmite’s ‘gene project’
  • Waitrose’s 2016 Christmas ad featuring a robin

Priest’s career includes 25 years at shops such as Ogilvy & Mather, CDP, Lowe Howard-Spink, TBWA and Rainey Kelly. He now makes major creative decisions at Adam&EveDDB, and has helped lead the company from creative success to success. Priest has secured his legacy as a hero of the advertising industry.
