This year, Black Friday will occur on the 24th of November. Last year, over £2 billion was spent in the UK on Black Friday. This year is set to be even bigger, with deals from big retailers like Amazon and John Lewis.
Amazon’s Black Friday deals officially start on 17th November, but as of today they have already introduced some early offers on tech items, including their own Amazon Echo. The Echo is currently 20% at £69.99, with the Echo Dot 30% off at £34.99. As of Friday, the Fire HD 8 Kids will be reduced to £89.99 from £129.99. There will be Lightning Deals and Deals of the Day throughout the week leading up to Black Friday. Lightning deals are products available at a discounted price in a limited quantity for a small amount of time, while Deals of the Day are discounts offered for one day only.
Amazon prime members will benefit during Black Friday, not only due to free next-day delivery, but also as they will get 30 minute early access to Lightning Deals. Amazon is expected to offers some great deals – some of their best deals from last year included £40 off the Amazon Echo, a discounted Xbox One S bundle and £30 off Amazon Kindle Paperwhite.
However, Black Friday is not just available on Amazon. AO has announced two weeks of Black Friday deals, and Currys PC World are expected to offer discounted products on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Other retailers participating in Black Friday include Argos, John Lewis, Game and Tesco.
